Paris was founded in the 3rd century BC by a Celtic people called the Parisii, who gave the city its name. By the 12th century, Paris was the largest city in the western world, a prosperous trading centre, and the home of the University of Paris, one of the first in Europe. In the 18th century, it was the centre stage for the French Revolution, and became an important centre of finance, commerce, fashion, science, and the arts, a position it still retains today.
Most French rulers since the Middle Ages made a point of leaving their mark on a city that, contrary to many other of the world's capitals, has never been destroyed by catastrophe or war. In modernising its infrastructure through the centuries, Paris has preserved even its earliest history

Photography has always been a passion of mine. For many years I have taken photographs as a hobby, up unto recently is when I went back to school to turn my hobby into a career that I love. It was interesting to find out how much post-production work is done to photographs now days via Photoshop. However, I think that there is still a sovereign beauty in a shot that has been taken in its most natural state.
