Rock Formation is from Buck Rock Fire Lookout, Giant Sequoia National Monument, Visalia, California. After this point have a Lookout House in the top of the mountain. In 1914 the concept of building a lookout where the fire watcher could work and live was introduced. The cabin style was a 14 ft. x 14 ft. room surrounded on all sides by windows. Buck Rock Lookout, constructed in 1923. A series of ladders made of timber poles snakes along the rock, providing the fire watcher with a precarious climb to the cab. Access was finally made easier in 1942, when the stairway you see today was installed.

Photography has always been a passion of mine. For many years I have taken photographs as a hobby, up unto recently is when I went back to school to turn my hobby into a career that I love. It was interesting to find out how much post-production work is done to photographs now days via Photoshop. However, I think that there is still a sovereign beauty in a shot that has been taken in its most natural state. That is why all my photographs are taken in manual mode and the most minimal adjustments are performed in Photoshop. I am astonished at how beautiful the world is and grateful to be...
