Paria Valley is located at Bryce Canyon National Park, South Utah
The Paria Valley was created and later widened between the plateaus. The Paria River and its tributaries still carve plateau edges. Carrying dirt and gravel, rushing waters gully the edges and steep slopes of the Paunsaugunt Plateau on which lies the national park.Over time tall, thin ridges called fins emerge. Fins erode into pinnacles and spires called hoodoos that, weakening and falling, add their colors to the hills below.
